The Georgia Restaurant Association

Founded in 2004, the Georgia Restaurant Association is non-profit trade association representing Georgia’s Restaurant industry. The GRA provides a unified voice for an industry comprising over 17,000 foodservice and drinking places in the state of Georgia with total sales in excess of $14 billion and provides more jobs (375,000+) than any other non-government employer in the state.

Mission

Our mission is to serve the needs of Georgia’s restaurant and foodservice industries by providing a voice and value for its members in four key cornerstones:

- Political Advocacy
- Professional Development
- Business Development
- Community Involvement

Professional Development

The GRA Professional Development Committee generates, organizes and provides dynamic and valuable content for membership meetings, workshops and other outlets such as the Community Forum (Discuss-GRA.com). In addition, the GRA offers all restaurant members savings on one-day ServSafe® training; as well as a 20% discount on all National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) related product.

The mission of the Georgia Restaurant Association Institute for Professional Development (GRA ipd) is to create a more successful restaurant operator. We do this by leveraging our resources to offer affordable workshops and training. The GRA ipd is set to launch at the Quarterly Meeting on January 26, 2010.
